How might we establish meaningful lifestyles after retirement?
Retirement can be hard
Getting used to retirement is challenging. One will likely experience a sequence of emotional stages after retirement. During the period, finance, family, health and socioeconomic positions are making the challenge greater.
Proposal
The design proposal “Futurenome” aims to help establish a new, meaningful life structure after retirement with a phone/web app and a physical device.
1. Plan with the APP
It can be hard to create a plan from scratch.
Therefore, I created a set of customized tarot decks as an aid in making plans. By using the tarot deck, users can reflect on their own needs and values, which are crucial to their life afterwards.
2. Action with the device
Creating a physical habit helps establish life structures.
The device is a transformable lamp with only a pull switch. Every time the users start their planned routine, they need to pull the switch. The folded lamp structure will open up while the data is uploaded to the app in the background.
