Overview
Painsonality Forests, a community design for chronic pain community. It looks at the difficulties and potential leverage points of empowering chronic pain sufferers to gain the support and abilities necessary to achieve a sustainable pain management style. It aims to provide the resources to create a thriving chronic pain ecology in a socio-cultural context. The project was localised in China. Studying the typical chronic pain ecology in China revealed points of action. At the same time, this innovation can develop in various backgrounds.
VR workshop
We conducted a co-design workshop to understand how chronic pain feels and encourage people to think about how their lives may be affected by chronic pain.
We asked our participants to draw in a virtual reality space. They can either draw their ideal place or the place of their character under the theme of chronic pain.
The process was assisted by a VR specialist (myself). The drawings were created using Tilt Brush.
